What Are The Advantages Of The Gas Fired Infrared Heaters Ohio Manufacturers Make

By Pamela Brooks

The sun is the most natural heater in our universe. The combustion of gases created by the sun warms the earths surface so that even when it's cold, the heat that radiates from it warms you. In much the same way the gas fired infrared heaters Ohio suppliers sell generate heat with the use of fuel and warms the objects below it, like floors, machinery, tools, and people. The objects that are warmed release heat into the air and make it warmer.

This system is perfect for industrial manufacturers that operate in warehouses that are large, open, and high ceilinged. These warehouses have traditionally been heated with forced air. These heating systems are built into the warehouse ceilings and blow out hot air at the rate of a 747 engine. It usually does an adequate job, but is inefficient and costly. By contrast, infrared heat systems are 50% more efficient.

This type of heating can be high intensity or low intensity. The high intensity has been around for almost seventy years. It operates with an open flame and requires a high mounting. A reflector is used to direct the heat source.

Low intensity heat systems generate radiant heat just like the sun. They are hung from the ceiling by chains. You can get them vented or unvented. If necessary outside air can be used for combustion. The rate of heat is controlled by a thermostat. The design allows for different configurations depending on the space requirements.

There is an enclosed flame in allow intensity heater. When heat is necessary, the burner box ignites a mixture of gas and air which pushes through a tubing with the use of a fan. The gas heats the tube which emits energy that is directed by reflectors onto the floor. The objects in the way of the reflected heat warm the area and create a comfort level. This type of heating begins at the ground level rather than the ceiling to create the warmth in the space.

If you have a forced heat system, the heat will escape each time a door is opened. When that happens the system must start all over to heat the space. With infrared heat, the heat that comes from the floor acts like a reservoir. It will retain extra heat and continues to warm the space until the heat that was lost from the door opening is negligible.

There are many benefits from this type of heating, not the least of which is the cost savings. This type of heater is up to fifty percent more cost effective than the forced air variety. They are cleaner and quieter and don't blow dust and debris around like the ones that rely on blowers. These heaters have zoned capabilities that can function as a unit or independently.

Like all heating systems safety precautions must be taken when they are use. Objects that have lower temperature ratings have to be kept at a safe distance. Gas and electrical lines, lighting, and parked cars have to be shielded.
